OUR ETHOS
We have spent considerable time researching ways in which we can be more ethical; from design to production to delivery. Using high quality and sustainable fabrics. Each piece is designed to remain eternally relevant, with the purpose of finding a permanent fixture in hearts and wardrobes.
We are not a ‘fast fashion’ business and passionately believe in encouraging our customers to invest in high quality pieces, made to last that better care for the planet and people.
We strive for progression, not perfection. Working every day to improve our business sustainability and environmental impact, seeking greener solutions as soon as innovation allows. We aim to encourage you as well as the suppliers we work with and will constantly strive to do more. We intend to be at the forefront of the sustainability mission, and hope you'll come with us.
SUSTAINABILITY PILLARS
PACKAGING
Our packaging is both recycled and recyclable. We strongly encourage you to recycle our packaging once you receive your order.
All our bulk orders from the production house are also delivered to Damica HQ in recyclable polybags, so you can rest assured that your garment has travelled in recyclable packaging from start to finish.
FABRIC & DYES
All our garments are made using sustainable fabric alternatives, whilst maintaining garment quality. We avoid using any plastic based fabrics such as nylon and polyester, in favour of naturally sourced fabrics like organic cotton, linen and viscose.
We use OEKO-Tex certified dyes for our fabric, thus limiting the amount of chemical processing during the dying phase.
SMALL BATCH
Our garments are made by a small family run (second generation) production house in Porto, Northern Portugal who specialise in small batch production. Reducing our carbon footprint by staying continent local and focusing on quality over quantity.
